Help the Bunnies!

Former Foster Bunny Rue Says "The buns need your help, too!"

Donations:

Operating HFOR costs anywhere from $10,000-$20,000 a year. This cost is primarily from Vet bills for rabbits that we get from hoarding and abuse situations as well as the occasional stray rabbit. We spay or neuter all of our rabbits at a respected local Vet clinic and take care of any necessary medical expenses and medicine until we can find a Fur-Ever home for each rabbit. Each new bunny we take on costs HFOR approximately $250 in vet costs alone - and that doesn't include follow on care.

Food is also a significant expense including, of course, fresh vegetables and hay to keep the rabbits healthy and strong.

All of this to say that donations are always welcome and appreciated as most of our operating money comes from a small group of very dedicated Friends of Rabbits.

There is also a never-ending amount of materials and items necessary to provide for our buns. Please head over to our Wish List page to learn more.

Volunteers:

Caring for buns is a full time job for a few of our volunteers! If you are currently unable to donate or foster a bunny we are always on the lookout for help with:

  • Cleaning Cages
  • Grooming Bunnies
  • Gardening
  • Fund Raising
  • Outreach Events

If you are interested in volunteering in one of these ways or even your own skill just contact us at huntsvillebunnies@hotmail.com and keep an eye on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/huntsvillebunnies/
